The Weekly Breakfast

Buttermilk pancakes with raspberry sauce and bacon. 

It was too chilly out on the deck this morning, so we ate in the kitchen.

This afternoon we’re off to see Peter Pan, then we’re having dinner with a friend.

Heirloom Tomatoes

We went to the Slow Food Market on the grounds of Monforte Dairy today.  Lots and lots of yummy foods there, including these gorgeous organic heirloom tomatoes.

The Slow Food Market runs every Sunday from June to October, 10 am till 2 pm.  Monforte Dairy is at 49 Griffith Road.  Definitely worth a look if you haven’t been yet.

Keystone Alley Cafe

We went here for dinner last night.  Out in the courtyard, under the awning is a magical place.  Add good food, friendly service and great friends to share it with and you’ve got a night to remember!

Down the Street

Right next door to yesterday's photo is Down the Street. Great food, great decor. A fabulous patio to sit on and watch the world go by in the summer.

Life's Uncertain - Drink Your Lattes Outdoors While You Can

Tuesday was a perfect fall day, sunny and warm. We had some errands to run and decided to stop for lattes on Balzac's patio.

Yesterday, the railings were down and all the chairs had been brought inside. Another lesson in taking opportunities as they present themselves.

Savour Stratford

Savour Stratford Culinary Festival - a celebration of Perth County food - is on this weekend. I was down at the market this morning. And it was fabulous!
