They grow really quickly, so their wood is soft, which makes for some amazing root structures.
They’re also fantastic at metabolizing toxins out of contaminated soil, in case you have any environmental clean-up to do.

Strangely, those willow tree roots are one of the things I miss most about walking around Stratford. There's nothing quite like them in Ottawa.
