The Pig Truck
Stratford has both urban and rural elements. Most of the time, they blend well, but sometimes they clash.
Like when you're sitting in a sidewalk cafe, enjoying an afternoon latte and a pig truck rolls by, on the way to slaughter.
I'm seriously worried that one of these days I'll give in to the urge to stage a rescue...

Inside the Stratford Public Library
It's a beautiful old building, close to downtown. We need something bigger, but I hope they never retire it completely.
If you're in Stratford this weekend, the Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale is tomorrow from 9:00 - 3:00 at the Rotary Complex, Hall A. Oh the temptation!

Life's Uncertain - Drink Your Lattes Outdoors While You Can
Tuesday was a perfect fall day, sunny and warm. We had some errands to run and decided to stop for lattes on Balzac's patio.
Yesterday, the railings were down and all the chairs had been brought inside. Another lesson in taking opportunities as they present themselves.
