I had to play with this one a little so that the tracks in the snow would show.
Some brave soul took a short-cut across the river. I think I'd wait until this cold snap had gone on a little longer.
Anyway, that very yellow house? Is actually a much more subtle shade in real life.
There are benches all along the river. And they're put to very good use in the summer. This time of year? Not so much.
One of the things I love about doing this blog is that I get to notice all sorts of little details about my adopted city that I otherwise would have missed. This back entrance to the band shell, for one.
The other thing I love is meeting my readers through the comments....
The holidays are over. The decorations have come down and are waiting to be picked up. It's about this time of year that most of us think about counting the days till Spring.
Of course, that impulse has to be weighed against the demoralizing effect of realizing that it's more than, say, three...
Brrrrr.....
We've had such a wonderfully mild winter here so far that I feel compelled to document every ounce of snow that falls, in case it all disappears again...
