Our City Hall Looks Like a Birthday Cake!

There was a move to tear this down in the 70's.  Fortunately, saner heads prevailed.  It is now a designated Heritage Site.

But now they want to cut down the tree in front.  I love that tree...

Shakespeare Gardens

On the location of the first gristmill in Stratford are the Shakespeare Gardens.  The tower from the gristmill remains today.

Farmers Market

The indoor market has been housed in a really cool old building for the last few years.  This is the roof.

We'll be moving into a brand-new building soon.  The roof won't leak and it'll be warm in the winter.  But it won't be nearly as charming.

There are chess tables set up downtown.  The umbrellas just add to the fun.

Just Like Paris?

We have a couple of gargoyles in Stratford.

The fact that they're sitting on a brand-new building does take away from their charm, a little.  But I reckon, in another 150 years or so, they'll have settled in nicely.

Two If By Sea

This picture makes it look like we are well-equipped against an attack by sea.

Actually, that cannon is pointed straight at a very nice neighbourhood just across the river - a couple of hundred feet away.  Oh, I hope it's been disabled!
